Adhis holds a Bachelor's degrees in International Business and Nursing. She has over 10 years experience as a Registered Nurse and her background as a Registered Nurse has afforded her firsthand exposure to the struggles experienced by multicultural communities. She has worked in Rehabilitation & Interim health care, mental health care, Aged care & Refugee Health care.
She is also Vice-Chairperson and Co-founder at FGMAA (Female Genital Mutilation Awareness Australia), leveraging empirical evidence to advocate against FGM/C both domestically and globally.
Additionally, as the Founder/CEO of Illuminate Insight FGMAA Consultancy Agency, she continues to spearhead efforts to drive change and raisie awareness around FGM/C.
Adhis is also the Team Lead Representative for the African Australian Advocacy Centre Queensland (AAACQLD) & also serves as an Advisory Member of the Queensland Government Mental Health Tribunal Review Board and contributes to the Working Group Youth Matters Network facilitated by the Moreton Bay Regional Council.
Additionally, she also holds a directorial position with Multicultural Communities Connect Queensland (MCCQ) and appointed by the Queensland Police Service as an Advisor on their newly established Police Multicultural Advisory Group (PMAG).
Adhis is currently pursuing her Masters in Clinical Education.
